Anti-Money Laundering
GrowRoll takes anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing obligations seriously. This page is the short version of how we meet them.
Our commitment
- Risk-based approachWe apply a risk-based AML programme covering customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and reporting — proportionate to the risk a customer or activity presents.
- Trained staffStaff who handle customer accounts, deposits, withdrawals, or moderation receive AML training and refresher updates. A designated officer owns the programme.
- No tolerance for launderingFunds suspected of deriving from crime are frozen and reported to the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). The platform is not a tool for cleaning money.
Source of funds
- Your own legal fundsYou may only deposit funds you legally own. Third-party deposits, stolen funds, and funds derived from criminal activity are forbidden.
- On-chain provenance mattersCrypto deposits from mixers, sanctioned addresses, or wallets linked to known illicit activity may be reversed, held pending investigation, or reported.
- Declaration on requestFor larger or unusual flows we may request a written explanation of the source of funds, along with supporting documentation. Refusal to cooperate leads to account suspension.
Identity verification (KYC)
- When we askKYC may be triggered by first deposits, large or cumulative withdrawals, unusual activity, or as required by the operator's licensing rules. We may also re-verify periodically.
- What we ask forTypically: government-issued ID, a recent proof of address, and a live selfie for liveness check. For high-value accounts we may also request proof of source of funds.
- Refusal blocks withdrawalsIf you decline KYC when asked, withdrawals are paused and the account may be restricted. We cannot disburse funds we are not allowed to verify.
- How we handle the dataKYC documents are handled per the Privacy Policy: stored encrypted, accessed only by trained staff, and retained only for the legally-required period.
Sanctions & restricted regions
- Sanctions screeningAccounts are screened against major sanctions lists (UN, OFAC, EU, UK) at onboarding and on an ongoing basis. Matches are blocked and reported.
- Restricted jurisdictionsThe operator does not offer the service in jurisdictions where the operator is not licensed to do so, or where local law prohibits online gambling. Use of VPNs to circumvent geo-blocks is forbidden.
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)Customers identified as PEPs or their close associates are subject to enhanced due diligence, including senior-management approval and ongoing source-of-funds review.
Monitoring & reporting
- Ongoing transaction monitoringAccount activity is monitored for unusual patterns. Specific detection methods are not published, by design — disclosure would help bad actors avoid them.
- Suspicious Activity ReportsActivity that meets the threshold for suspicion is reported to the relevant Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Reports are confidential and submitted as required by law.
- No tipping-offIf your account or transaction is the subject of a regulatory report, we are legally prohibited from telling you. Pauses, freezes, or KYC requests do not necessarily mean you are reported — they often just mean we need clarity.
- Account freeze pending reviewWe may suspend deposits, withdrawals, or both while investigating. Funds are held — not lost — until the review concludes.
Record keeping
- Retention periodAML-relevant records (KYC documents, transaction history, correspondence) are kept for the legally-required period — typically 5+ years after the account is closed or the relationship ends.
- What is keptIdentity documents, the wallet ledger, source-of-funds declarations, sanctions-screening results, and any internal investigation notes related to the account.
- Your privacy rights still applyAML retention coexists with the Privacy Policy: you can request access to and correction of your data within the limits of what we are legally required to keep.
